Toyota Aims for 1 Million Hybrid Cars Per Year
However, for this year, the aim is much lower, at just 300,000 cars per year. Toyota has been a pioneer in the hybrid car market, with the Toyota Prius, which was launched back in 1997. Due to the success of the Prius model, Toyota hybrid cars will be extended this year by two new models, the Harriers and Klugers models. These cars are first introduced in the Japanese market, then, later in the North American market.
