A Mustang Shell Electric Cars

A Mustang shell electric cars are done by using Mustang shells with lithium ion battery powered engines.

These conversions are done by enthusiasts and exhibited to the public at the major electric car events, such as the Green Power Pri-View held on April in Long Beach.

For example, during the 2008 event, there were Tijaarda EVX Mustang and the HST Shelby Cobra EVX available for viewing.

These two were custom made cars that featured 300 horsepower electric motors based on lithium ion phosphate battery packs.

These advanced battery packs have been developed by K2 energy solutions.

With the Mustang, the reported performance is of 0 to 60km in 4 seconds in an environmentally friendly way.

The cars were made to show how a powerful electric muscle car concept can be done, in partnership between HST International and Tjaarda Design.

The reported asking price for these cars, in custom made mode, is ranging from between $80K and $120K.
