Bank of America Hybrid Car

Bank of America hybrid car reimbursement program will give money back to eligible hybrid car buying employees up to the amount of $3,000 for buying a new hybrid.

In the program that was started in late 2006, about 21,000 employees living within 90 miles of Boston, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Los Angeles are eligible.

In many aspects, the program is very similar to the tax credit made available by the Internal Revenue Service, using the same hybrid car definitions as the IRS uses to grant tax breaks.

However, under the program, the employees are eligible for this reimbursement only once and are still responsible for paying taxes on the reimbursement.
