British Hybrid Car Society

British hybrid car society is better known as The Battery Vehicle Society.

The Battery Vehicle Society (BVS) is based in the UK and is dedicated to owners of electric vehicles, those wishing to build or convert their own electric vehicle, increasing education and awareness of electric and hybrid vehicles and preserving historical electric vehicles.

The society is a great resource of knowledge concerning everything from where to buy a vehicle through to how to design your own motor.

This is not a new society in fact.

BVS was founded over 30 years ago in order to serve the needs of those wishing to preserve historic electric vehicles or build or convert an electric vehicle of their own.

The Society interacts with its members through the regional groups, their online forum, and a bimonthly magazine.

Currently, BVS has over 400 members from all over the UK.

The current price for a membership at the time of writing this is £15 a year and includes subscription to their bimonthly magazine, access to members only parts of their website at batteryvehiclesociety.org.uk, reduced insurance rates, access to their library and free buying and technical advice concerning any matters of electric vehicle ownership.
