Electric Car Prices

Electric car prices range from the world's cheapest car (Indian Tara Tiny) to the exotic Venturi Fetish, which is hand made in Monaco.

From the cheap side, the Indian-built, two-seat Tara Tiny will enter production designed to have top speed of 50 km/hr and range of 80-100 km.

What's revolutionary about the car is the price sticker at $2450, replacing the Tata Nano as the world's cheapest.

The price is actually 99,000 Indian Rupees (which translates to $ 2450) and the car runs on electricity.

The Tara Tiny seats 2 people and can be recharged daily at 220 volts through 15 amp sockets, a 8 hour charge enables the cars to travel 80 - 100 kilo meters.

One of the few electric cars entering mass production is the Tesla Roadster, which is a electric sports car with 0 to 60 mph under 4 seconds and 220 mile range with one recharge.

The pricing for the Roadster starts at $98,000.

On the expensive side, the Venturi Fetish is made-to-order, with a price of around 500,000 euros. The electric sports car is hand made in Monaco.

Other electric cars that are available to purchase include ZAP Alias with a list price of $32,500 and ZAP-X with a list price of $60,000.

Also, you can purchase the ZENN electric car for $12,750 (list price without extras or delivery charge).
