Facts Electric Cars

One of the best sources about facts electric cars is the website for the movie Who Killed the Electric Car?

That website (sonyclassics.com/whokilledtheelectriccar/electric.html) asks, as it's main theme, "why did General Motors crush its fleet of EV1 electric vehicles in the Arizona desert?" even though they were among the fastest, most efficient production cars ever built, ran on electricity, produced no emissions and catapulted American technology to the forefront of the automotive industry and the lucky few who drove them never wanted to give them up.

The site, and the movie chronicles the life and mysterious death of the GM EV1, providing facts about electric cars in the process that have been collected from thousands of sources.

Do keep in mind that the facts represented about electric cars are a bit old (the movie is a 2006 documentary film available in DVD format). The site is full of facts, but you can find them especially under the tab 'facts', surprisingly.

Also, you are best served by reading GMs response to the movie at

fyi.gmblogs.com/2006/06/who_ignored_the_facts_about_th.html

That blogpost tells mostly GM's side of the story, with many facts about these kinds of vehicles from the manufacturers perspective.
