With that in mind, however, if you are racing for a longer periods of time, over 30 to 60 minutes or so, the gas cars can post the faster lap speeds.

Nitro RC cars are RC cars powered by nitromethane, and these cars can reach speeds of 75+ mph. However, not very many people want to deal with the dangers of nitromethane, which is why these cars are rarer.

Especially popular in this category, according to the resellers, are the Fast And Furious themed nitro gas cars.
