Hybrid Car Battery SUV Truck
In fact, there are many car manufacturers that provide hybrid trucks as well as SUVs, and the numbers are growing. The first of the SUVs and Trucks sold as hybrids was the Ford Escape Hybrid. The Escape hybrid was very successful right from the start, selling 20,000 in it’s first year. Next, encouraged by good sales for the Escape, the car manufacturers released the Mercury Mariner Hybrid. In addition to those two, the same segment also has Toyota Highlander Hybrid, the GMC Sierra/Sienna Hybrids, the Saturn Vue Hybrid, and the Lexus RX 400h. Of the upcoming cars, as of June 2008, the Dodge Ram Hybrid is first hybrid truck to have a diesel engine and electric motor. Other hybrid trucks on the market include Chevy Tahoe, and the GMC Yukon. The Porsche Cayenne hybrid version is available in 2008. On the pipeline are Cadillac Escalade, Dodge Durango, and Kia Rio hybrid. As is the case with hybrid cars in general, the batteries are designed to last the lifetime of the truck and SUV. In fact, most have warranties to that effect.
