Hybrid Car Design

Hybrid car design is taking car design into shapes that defy traditional thinking.

The designs are being made with maximum fuel efficiency in mind, not raw performance or traditional aesthetics.

In reality, this translates into radical new shapes that take cues from the animal world, such as cars shaped like a dolphin. Just take a look at the Aptera hybrid car, which will top 300 MPG fuel efficiency:

The designers of the Aptera have stated that what they have done is to change the way cars are thought of and designed.

Rather than design from a styling aesthetic, they bow to an efficiency and safety aesthetic.

When designers do that, math and physics mostly dictate the shape of the car.

The planned VentureOne car, which will do over 100 MPG, has the same shape, but additional features, such as tilting in the corners like the European Carver One:
