Hybrid Car Fuel Economy
Hybrid car fuel economy rankings are available from the EPA website for MPG rankings. That website, located at fueleconomy.gov/feg/hybrid_sbs.shtml has not only rankings, but also a lot of background material on why to use hybrids and what makes a hybrid 'tick'. In many ways, the site is reminiscent of hybridcenter.org/hybrid-center-watchdog-home.html which is a project from the Union of Concerned Scientists. That website also has a comparison method, one that differs from the EPA website version. That comparison method, located at go.ucsusa.org/hybridcenter/compare_chart.cfm allows you to compare hybrid cars to standard vehicles, with estimates modified to your specific conditions, such as in which type of conditions you drive in, how much you drive, how much you pay for gasoline per gallon, and where you live.
