Hybrid Rental Cars
The Fox Rent A Car was perhaps the first of the major rental car agencies to offer a full range of hybrid cars. The hybrid car rentals by Fox are in fact done in co-operation with EV Rental Cars, and the available models include: Toyota Prius, Honda Civic, Ford Escape and the Toyota Highlander. Fox Rent A Car can be found especially in airports around the nation, and beyond hybrids, has a wide variety of types and brands available. The most popular airline hubs where Fox is present include Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Austin, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and Orlando, and Toronto, Guam, Cancun, San Juan, Dubai, and London internationally. Of the major rental car agencies, Hertz has been developing their hybrid car rental fleet since 2007, when they bought some 3,400 Prius hybrids for their rental offices. Beyond hybrid cars, Hertz has rental cars in their "Green Collection" that are fuel efficient and environmentally friendly, such as the Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata. Quite similarly, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has a vehicle designation called "Green Branch", which means high mileage, environmentally friendly cars, including hybrid cars. As of late 2008, the company's fleet included some 4,000 hybrids.
