Hybrid Sport Car

Hybrid sport car design has been under development ever since the concept car Toyota Volta was revealed in 2004.

The Volta was even rumored to enter into production but that has not materialized. The Toyota pages for the Volta (with pics) are located at toyota.com/vehicles/future/volta.html.

In similar vein, another Toyota hybrid concept sports car has failed to enter production, named as Toyota CS&S. See the car at toyota.com/vehicles/future/cs.html.

Finally from Toyota, there is the Toyota FT-HS concept sports car: toyota.com/vehicles/future/fths.html.

There are several up and coming hybrid car manufacturers in the sports car market, such as Velozzi.

Velozzi aims to produce to the market a plug-in multi fuel hybrid electric car.

Theirs is a concept of an electric car that derives its power from a lightweight, high efficient Lithium Ion battery pack.

This battery pack in turn is recharged by an on-board Velozzi micro turbine, which uses any heavy fuel, such as gasoline, ethanol, methanol, diesel or bio diesel.
