Luxury Hybrid Cars
There are in fact a third vehicle for the utility vehicle market as well, the RX Hybrid, both spacious and sporty. There is also the GS Hybrid, which is aimed to provide performance. The newest addition (as of August 2008) to the hybrid line is the LS Hybrid, which features luxury and impressive hybrid technology. For example, the GS 450h goes from zero to 60 in 5.2 seconds with a V6 engine and with the extra boost from the electric-drive motor the acceleration power is more like that of a V8. Also the LS 600h L’s V8 gas engine and high-output electric motor provide 438 total system horsepower and the RX 400h has similar power enhancements, as will future Lexus Hybrids, according to the company.
