Motorcycle Car Hybrid

Motorcycle car hybrid cars include the Aptera and VentureOne.

VentureOne

The VentureOne is a three wheeled, Y shaped, vehicle that is being developed by Venture Vehicles, due to begin sales in 2010, with an option for both a hybrid and all electric propulsion.

The vehicle is in fact classified as a 3 wheel motorcycle instead of a car.

The technology for the three wheeler hybrid car has been developed by Carver Europe (formally Vandenbrink) a Dutch company.

Venture Vehicles plans to offer packages for the VentureOne in 2010 with prices ranging from $20,000 to $25,000 depending on the propulsion package and options.

Aptera

Aptera Motors (formerly called Accelerated Composites) is a car manufacturer located in Carlsbad, California.

Their first product is a three-wheeled car-motorcycle hybrid two-seater named the Typ-1.

Even though the vehicle is still in development, the claimed fuel efficiency of the hybrid model has 130 mpg (US) at 55 mph, potentially making it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in the world when launched.
