Tango Electric Cars

Tango electric cars are high performance, road-hugging, and ultra-narrow.

The Tango is a product of Commuter Cars (www.commutercars.com) that produces electric vehicles aimed at commuters who typically drive less than 29 miles daily.

The Tango commuter vehicle combines speed and agility of a motorcycle with the security and comfort of a high-performance sports car.

Like a motorcycle, the Tango can change lanes to gain advantage in traffic better than any car in history.

However, unlike a motorcycle, it is safe, dry, climate controlled, and can securely carry a reasonable amount of cargo.

Where lane splitting is permitted (meaning driving between lanes of stopped or slow-moving traffic), such as California, most of Europe, and Asia, the advantage can be significant.

Because of the cars narrow designs, the car users have several advantages in parking. A Tango can park perpendicular to the curb, in left-over spaces between cars or driveways, next to buildings, or in unused corners of parking lots, meaning a lot of previously unusable parking spaces come to the mix.

Because the car is small in size, the company has made extra effort to make sure it is safe. These include having a racecar-style roll cage design, 4-point harnesses, a low center of gravity, and a weight comparable to a midsize sedan.

As for perfomance, the Tango can accelerate from zero to over 130 mph in one gear and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in about 4 seconds and finishes the standing 1/4 mile in about 12 seconds at over 100 mph.
