Three Wheel Electric Car

Three wheel electric car manufactures include Aptera and Zap.

Aptera
www.aptera.com

This three wheel design has been around since the early 2000s, when Aptera's founder Steve Fambro started on a design for a electric vehicle that was safe, comfortable, and more fuel-efficient than anything ever produced.

The current three wheel design is the result of study of aerodynamics, and composite aircraft construction, producing low-drag, aerodynamic body shape without sacrificing comfort, drivability or safety.

The car is a two-seat, three-wheeled vehicle, with the first operating prototype achieving a 230 miles per gallon mileage. The first to go to production is the Aptera Typ-1.

The three wheeled ZAP Xebra Sedan is the has been under development for more than three decades, and produces 98% fewer pollutants than gas cars, after taking into account what type of electricity is needed to power the car.

Xebras get their charge from a standard 110 volt outlet, but you may also opt for the car version with a solar panel, which can power short-distance trips all on its own.
